Upcoming Storm Chances

I am not able to chase today due to other previous plans but the main threat seems to be large hail for sure. Plan on leaving for Norman, OK Friday and chasing Saturday and Sunday. Right now this looks to be the best setup so far this year (not saying much) but I still have my doubts on labeling it an 'outbreak'. Will update things over the weekend.

April 1st & 2nd

Chased another early season setup in the southern plains this past week without much to show for. Waited in southwest Oklahoma the 1st just to watch the cap win and then viewed storms from a distance in northern Oklahoma that were tracking north of a warm front April 2nd. Patiently awaiting better setups...

2014

Its been a while but I'm going to try and get back to updating this blog throughout the 2014 chase season. First chase was March 15th in northwest TX and encountered some small hail and structure near Commanche, TX. I've also got some catching up to do on 2012 and 2013 chases that I never posted on here. New for this season is a new camcorder - Canon Vixia HF G30 so hope to get some good footage to share with that.
